'Kevin - This is me'

School children are introduced to owls in the popular children's books such as, 'The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark' and 'Owl Babies'. Well now meet 'Kevin', the Turkey Vulture. 'Kevin-This is me', is a short photographic storybook about Kevin growing up. This book is accompanied by a visit from Kevin to the school, so the book can be sent in advance in preparation for Kevin's visit. This experience makes a great addition to book week and children with learning difficulties, have been encouraged to read aloud by reading to Kevin.

Primary School Visits

Alula Falconry will visit your school bringing a selection of their feathered friends. The pupils will be introduced to these amazing birds of prey and will have the opportunity to hold one or two of them, as well as learn some interesting facts about them.

The birds are an ideal addition when teaching Medieval and Tudor history, explorers and adventurers, night and day, castle themed projects, predators and prey, nocturnal animals, science and conservation. Talks and presentations can be provided on all of these subjects.
